Aim

To provide participants with the opportunity to learn how to effectively apply a range of Marketing Principles to issues of global significance- Environment Sustainability.

In particular the course will provide participants with the tools required to develop a strategic plan that addresses their specific sustainability objectives that may be focused on behaviour change or product/service adoption.

Learning Objectives

The course combines a series of presentations that are complemented with practical case analyses and interactive class forums.

  • Understanding the impact of Marketing’s role in addressing environmental concerns – current approaches and opportunities for development;

  • The fundamental differences between Marketing sub-disciplines such as “Social Marketing” and Cause Related Marketing”.

    • Market Research: designing appropriate research methodologies and maintaining effective Marketing Information Systems;

    • Segmentation: the role of segmentation, target audience selection and positioning in achieving behaviour change or product/service adoption objectives

    • Integrated Marketing Communications: Models for developing strategies that promote long term behavioral change as well as product/service adoption;

    • Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Management frameworks  to accelerate behaviour change or product/service adoption objectives.
